Day 3: The bigger picture

8pm

The team is out at the Carnaval parade. I'm not sure how they have the energy. That was one big day.

As a parent, I have to say that this day was one of those moments you hope to never, ever forget. To enter the Colisee for the first time and essentially walk into a "full-on-NHL-game-day-atmosphere" nearly took your breath away. Then to hear the roar of the crowd reacting to the game currently in progress... wow.

There were concessions and event staff, music and mascots, and about 10,000 people in the building. Some were watching, some were shopping, some were wrangling players and you had to pause to even remember that this was PEEWEE hockey.

If I didn't get it before... well, I get it now. This tournament is a big deal.

What an unbelievable experience for our kids! What an experience for our team! What a blessing to be along for this adventure.

I am so proud of the team for their composure and ability to focus on the task. An impressive feat, expertly guided by our coaches. What a game day EVENT!

The Source for Sports AA Peewee Brandon Wheat Kings have arrived. Yes, we have. And, we're here to play some hockey!! So stay tuned.... it's going to be an exciting week.
