All our boys are running around with pin bags and using hand signals to make exchanges with any and every player they meet. Lainie is slightly less enthusiastic about carrying a pin purse and she hasn't body checked anyone for their pin... yet. Will keep you posted.
Since this pin phenomenon has caught on we haven't seen a lot of the players in their free time. They are using it to make new friends and acquire new souvenirs. Yep.... these tournament organizers sure do know a thing or two about how to bridge the language barrier and give these players a memorable experience.
So, in about 24 hours of this all catching on, the players have shown me the following pins.....
This one is about the size of a police badge. |
Team France |
Team San Jose, the team gift from our first game. |
Team Japan. They don't play in our division. |
The language issue may or may not have contributed to Slate trading a pin for a coin. |
The puck moves on this one! |
From a team from England. |
Believed to be from the Oceanic Blizzard, a Quebec league team. |
