Pin Photos

Well, it's official....the pin trading has caught on. Like a brush fire, started by some gasoline and left unattended and stoked by a north wind.

All our boys are running around with pin bags and using hand signals to make exchanges with any and every player they meet. Lainie is slightly less enthusiastic about carrying a pin purse and she hasn't body checked anyone for their pin... yet. Will keep you posted.

Since this pin phenomenon has caught on we haven't seen a lot of the players in their free time. They are using it to make new friends and acquire new souvenirs. Yep.... these tournament organizers sure do know a thing or two about how to bridge the language barrier and give these players a memorable experience.

So, in about 24 hours of this all catching on, the players have shown me the following pins.....

This one is about the size of a police badge.

Team France
Team San Jose, the team gift from our first game.
Team Japan. They don't play in our division.

The language issue may or may not have contributed to Slate trading a pin for a coin.
The puck moves on this one!
From a team from England.
Believed to be from the Oceanic Blizzard, a Quebec league team.
