Saturday Morning Victory!!

It was another nail-biting game at Le Colisee. Our BWK were full of energy and ready to play at our 8AM game. We dominated the first period and were blessed with an early goal by yesterday's birthday boy, our D-man Carson MacDonald.

We kept the foot on the gas pedal and Mitch Thiessen scored to give BWK a 2-0 lead.

The Yamaska-Missisquoi Vics pushed back hard in the second with numerous chances on goal. Matt Simard stood tall and made numerous saves.

The YMV got one goal in the 2nd.

BWK had a goal called on the ice, but moments later waived off. Ruled kicked in.

The YMV had power play chances, but no penalty calls against them. We killed off each of our 3 penalties and played a good passing game.

Again, a sigh of relief with our 3rd goal. This one a nice tip in by Ty Thorpe, from Mitch Thiessen.

A desperate YMV team pulled their goalie with 3 minutes to play and raised the intensity level once again. Our D and net minder held them off. Nolan Ritchie bagged an empty net goal to make the final score 4-1.

The other team's parents wished us well as we go forward to meet the Swiss at 4:45pm in Semi Final action. YES, THAT Swiss team that we played in exhibition. They won their Friday night game to advance to the semis. They may be more rested, but we have the hearts of Kings. Wheat Kings!!
